About me (blog intro)
I'm the one on the poster — the woman in the green velvet with her name above the bandstand, and yes, that's me, and no, I never get tired of it. I'm forty-three and I'd do the whole thing again; the laugh lines are mine, I earned every one of them, and the lighting man knows better than to soften them. I sing standards at ten and the late set at midnight, and if you stay for both, I'll notice, and I will absolutely call you out from the stage for it. Come find me at the aft bar afterward — I like the ones who listen more than the ones who talk. Mind your manners, bring me a story worth hearing, and I might tell you which nights I do the quiet set that never makes it onto the schedule.
