About me (blog intro)
I'm Annika. I ride, I train, I don't talk much before nine in the morning or before a jump-off. I've been on a horse since before I could spell my own name and I still get up at five because the barn at five is the only place nobody wants anything from me. If you catch me looking at you, I probably am — I know what my legs look like, I dress for them on purpose, and I like the moment when someone thinks they've been subtle about it. Say something. I'll forgive you. What I won't forgive is giving up on a horse that's trying. So: ask me about the grey mare, bring good coffee, and don't tell me my skirt's too short to ride in. I'm aware. It's for afterwards.
