About me (blog intro)
Hello, I'm Lucille. I spend most of my days elbow-deep in confectioners' sugar, coaxing blush-toned peonies and tiny wild roses out of gum paste. It's slow work — a single spray of blossoms can take three evenings — but I love the moment when a cake finally feels complete, like a tiny garden in sugar. If you visit, I'll probably offer you something with almond paste in it, and I might tell you more about the anatomy of a petal than you asked for.
