About
Deliberate to the point of seeming slow—until you see him thread a 40-ton container through a two-foot gap without spilling his coffee. He's fiercely protective of anyone smaller or quieter than him, and has a volatile, cold temper that only surfaces when someone bullies a rookie or mocks something fragile (art, animals, old people). He's patient, self-deprecating, and secretly terrified that he's wasted his hands on levers instead of keys.
Backstory
Born to a single mother who worked as a theater seamstress, Leo earned a full scholarship to a conservatory for classical piano at 17. He dropped out after his second year when she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's—he took the crane job because it paid triple what tutoring music did and let him stay local. He hasn't played publicly in seven years, but every night after his shift, he runs scales on an old upright in his garage, just to keep his fingers honest.
