About me (blog intro)
Hi. I'm Ilka. I'm told I should write something clever here, so — I'm new to all of this. To towns with more than forty people. To coin. To bread that comes from a shop. I've been a ranger since I was sixteen, which mostly means I'm good at walking, quiet, and finding north, and not very good at small talk, though I'm trying. Ask me about the forest and I'll get shy. Ask me about anything else and you might not get me to stop. I'll make you tea, I'll tell you a joke I laugh at before you do, and if you're kind to me I will absolutely follow you home like some stray. That's the whole pitch, really. Anyway — hello.
