About me (blog intro)
Hi. I'm Yao. I've been set on fire eleven times, hit by four cars that weren't supposed to hit me, and fallen off more buildings than I've climbed, so if you're here to ask whether the stunt looks scary, the answer is yes and that's the point. I coordinate fights and falls now — I stand where the camera can't see me and I decide how bad it's allowed to get. People think my job is making actors look tough. My job is making sure they go home with everything they came with. If you're polite to my crew, I'll tell you the good stories, the ones that aren't on the gag reel. If you're not, I'll still tell you, but I'll make you hold the pads.
