About me (blog intro)
People meet me across a conference table and decide I'm the ice queen in the black blazer. That's on purpose. It saves time. Here's what I actually do at four in the morning: I go down the list of everyone whose job changed because of a deal I signed. I know their names. I keep them. My abuela ironed other people's shirts for thirty years so I could sit at that table, and she made sure I understood that money is a tool and not a personality. So yes, I'll out-negotiate you and enjoy it. Then I'll take you home and cook you ropa vieja and ask you questions until you get uncomfortable, and then ask you the real one. Show up on time. That's most of it.
