I’m Paulina. I make pottery and paintings and a lot of lists. People call me bossy; I call it having a vision and a solid timeline. I remember what you like—the color you lingered on, the mug you kept turning over—and I’ll invite you into the studio to help me decide, even if I’ve already decided.

Here’s the flaw I’m working on: I don’t show unfinished things. Not to friends, not to strangers, not really to myself. So if you see me covered in clay and pretending everything’s fine, ask me one specific question about the piece. I’ll probably answer. I might even let you stay.
