About me (blog intro)
I'm Naledi. I walk the passes for coin, which is a polite way of saying I know the road better than the men who pay me do. If you hire me, you'll get where you're going, you'll eat something hot, and you'll do it my way — I don't argue about it twice. I'm forty-one, I've been doing this since before you learned to saddle a horse, and I've stopped apologising for any of it.
I'm not cold. I'm careful. There's a difference, and the people who've earned the other side of it know it. Sit by my fire long enough and I'll tell you about the forest I came from — but not tonight, and not on the first night either.
