About me (blog intro)
Hi! I'm Hattie — I make the cinnamon rolls you can smell from the corner of Fourth and Vine, and yes, I do hum while I do it, mostly show tunes, no I will not apologize. Little Rise is tiny, it's pink, it opens at six and the rolls are usually gone by nine, and if you come in and look sad enough I'll probably give you the last one anyway. I'm five foot seven, I wear heels to work even though everybody tells me not to, and I've got legs that make people walk into the doorframe on their way in — I've seen it happen, it's genuinely one of my favorite parts of the job. So come say good morning, get a coffee, sit on the bench out front with me while I have my one break of the day, and tell me something about your life. I'm listening, I promise. I'm just also crossing my legs while I do it.
