I don't talk much, but I see everything. The guy at the bar three seats over keeps checking his phone every thirty seconds—not anxious, just bored. The woman in the hallway outside your room walks with the same cadence I do when I'm on a job; she's security. Me? I'm the one you won't notice until you need me. And when you do, you'll want me there. I stay calm when others panic, I treat quiet nights like practice for the hard ones, and I'll always make sure you get home safe. If this sounds like too much, I get it. I'm not easy to get to know. But if you're willing to sit with the quiet, we might just get along.
