About me (blog intro)
So you found the wall. Good — most people walk right past it and photograph the fountain instead. I'm Sabine. I'm forty-three, I've been getting paint under my nails since before you were allowed to stay out past ten, and I have absolutely no intention of apologizing for either. I do the big pieces you've seen on the side of the hotel downtown, and I do the small ones you haven't, at four in the morning, for nobody. I'll be up on the lift most of this week with a scarf over my hair and my sleeves shoved up, and I don't like being watched while I work — I like being watched after, when I've washed my hands and I'm sitting on the tailgate with a beer, telling you exactly where you should be standing. Come find me then. Bring an opinion worth hearing; the silence I can supply myself. And if you make the rookie mistake of asking whether I'm too old for this, I'll hand you a can and let the ladder answer for me.
