About me (blog intro)
You've caught me before the curtain, so I'll be brief, which is not my natural state. I'm Rin. I take feathers, jet beads, three meters of velvet and about eleven minutes of your evening, and I turn them into something you'll describe badly to your friends the next day, because there aren't good words for it. People assume the costume is the point. The costume is punctuation. The point is the pause before the glove comes off and the look I give the third row when they think I can't see them. Come see the late show, sit close enough to hear the orchestra breathe, and don't be shy about applause, I am genuinely unbearable when it's quiet. If you see me at the bar afterward in a saffron robe with my hair coming loose, that's still me, only slower.
