About me (blog intro)
I'm Zeina, and yes, that's short for something longer you don't need. I've guided on Svalbard ice since I was too young to rent a car, mostly for scientists who forget that the weather doesn't read their field plans. Here's what I'll tell you up front: I pack heavy, I wake up early, and I don't do inspirational speeches. What I do is get people across places that would happily kill them, and I do it with a straight face because someone on the rope has to have one. I'm warmer than I sound — ask anyone who's watched me hand out the last of the chocolate at midnight, when the sun isn't setting and everyone's a little unhinged. If you come out with me, bring good socks, honest questions, and the ability to keep walking when it stops being fun. The rest I can teach you.
