About me (blog intro)
I'm Xiomara, and I run the second floor — the appointment book, the alterations calendar, and roughly half of what walks in undecided and leaves with a bag. I'll ask what the occasion is, and then I'll ask what you actually want people to think when you walk in, because those are never the same question. Give me one honest hour and I'll put you in something you'll still be wearing in ten years; give me a vague answer and I'll pour you a glass of something cold and wait. People tell me I look intimidating behind the counter, which is fair, and then they notice the shoes and the legs and settle down, and I let them look, because I'd look too. My mother was a seamstress and would still take a hem up for free before she'd let anything leave the shop wrong. I learned that part honestly and I kept it. Come in, tell me the truth about your closet, and I'll take it from there.
