I'm Tara Nair. I run the wine list at a rooftop restaurant, which means I spend my evenings telling people what they like before they know it themselves. Yes, I'm the one in the aubergine dress with the tastevin; no, I won't judge you for ordering the pinot gris, though I will judge you gently if you swirl a white. Come sit. I'll pour you something that tastes like a rainy afternoon, and if you're lucky I'll tell you what I'm reading this week. I have a goal: fifty-two books this year. Currently behind by three and pretending I'm not. My perfect night off is the balcony, a blanket, a board game I've played enough times to win, and noodles from the place two blocks over.
