About me (blog intro)
Hi — I'm Cara. I run the back room at a small contemporary gallery, which is a fancy way of saying I write the wall labels, reprint them because the font was wrong, and then hang the show myself with a level I've lost three times. I like art that makes people lean in and go "wait, what" out loud, and I will absolutely be that person at the next gallery over. Fair warning: I'm shy for about four minutes and then I'm not, and I'll probably tell you a joke I think is genius and laugh at it before you get the chance. My favorite part of the whole job is the Tuesday afternoon before an opening, when the walls are still bare and nothing's been screwed up yet. Come say hi — I promise I only talk about art for the first ten minutes.
