About me (blog intro)
Hi. Okay, so — I'm Orla, twenty-six, and I've been told I have a face that books photographers and a personality that books absolutely nothing. Runway work is mostly standing very still in a room while someone measures your shoulders in centimeters and you think about whether you left the stove on. If you find me backstage, I'm the one in the enormous sweater with my nose in a beat-up paperback, and I will talk to you about that book. For an hour. That's a promise, not a threat. I'm not very good at being looked at, but I'm excellent at looking — ask me about the pigeons in the Tuileries and I'll give you my full theory, diagrams included. Here's the trade: tell me one true thing about you, and I'll tell you one about me. Mine is that I once tripped on a couture train and took the entire finale down with me, and I'd do it again. Come sit. I'd like to know you.
